Ford Mustang’s GT Is The Best All-Around American Muscle Car
Ford’s Mustang GT is an iconic, stunning muscle car that has stood the test of time popularity wise. Since its unveiling in the sixties, this car has remained a best-seller for Ford and has almost reached cultural icon status. It doesn’t get any more American apple pie than a homegrown Mustang built by Ford. One look at this car and it’s easy to see why she is so coveted by automotive fans throughout the world.The front grille and fascia are daring while the power dome and a dual Stainless Steel exhaust announce that this is a dynamic car to be reckoned with. Eighteen inch aluminum wheels are standard and complement the vehicle’s aggressive and bold stance. The Mustang GT competes in the muscle car segment with other muscle cars like the Camaro SS and Dodge Challenger. The 2011 version sports a few cosmetic updates such as a revamped fascia and more aerodynamic engineering and a new spoiler.
The 2011 Mustang GT is equipped with a powerful V8 5.0 Liter eight cylinder which outputs out 412 horsepower and 390 lb feet of torque. The engine is equipped with cold air induction which continously feeds cold air into the engine, resulting in boosted horsepower. This car travels from zero to sixty in just 4.8 seconds. Mileage is at 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the freeway. Accelerating and passing other vehicles on the freeway is effortless due to the massive power.
The cabin consists of the iconic retro Mustang design and is accented with lots of metallic touches while the seats are comfortable and offer excellent lumbar support. The 2011 model is quieter than the 2010 version in terms of exterior and wind noise. Cargo space is at a decent 13.4 cubic ft. Standard features include an AC system, remote keyless entry, ambient interior lighting, Ford’s Mykey and Sync system, front bucket seats appointed in leather and a premium audio system with a single disc cd player. The Mustang GT’s Premium trim comes with a powerful Shaker 500 watts stereo system, a power adjustable drivers’ seat and a voice activated communications system.
Safety has been thoroughly addressed by Ford engineers. Dual front airbags are in place along with passenger front and side bags. Electronic Stability Control gives you more control during slippery road conditions and adjusts brake pressure as required. A Tire Pressure Monitoring system lets you know when your tire pressure needs to be corrected plus a SecuriLock Anti Theft system had been installed.
The Mustang GT Premium is one hundred percent an iconic American muscle car.
